Supported DVD for boot????

I was just wondering if there is a supported list for booting off of CD-ROM, reason why I am asking is that I have a BL20P which is able to boot off of a Dell CD-ROM but not a HP one nor a BENQ external DVD writer.

Any comments or ideas?

Thanks

Re: Supported DVD for boot????

The system hangs when I try to boot from the DVD as soon as I unplug it from the USB it starts booting again.

firmware is not the newest one but it is not old either.

Thanks

Re: Supported DVD for boot????

It is fine this way but for some reason the qlogic drivers I have are no good on the floppy I have or there is an issue with the external floppy I have so I was trying to use the CD-ROM locally as you can only have one virtual media connect at one time. BUT if you happen to have the correct drivers for the qlogic HBA's on 2003 enterprise server then I will give that a shot first.
;-)
So far the ones on the hp site are not working. no matter what I do it is like those drivers are no good.

Thanks for replying

Re: Supported DVD for boot????

With latest firmware on the ILO (any after 1.70) you should able to mount both Floppy and CD ROM at same time
