Swapping RAID5 HDD to another HP server with same hardware configuration
I have two HP Proliant G4 380 server with RAID5 configuration. One server have 146GB x 3 HDD and another server have 72GB x 3 HDD.
Support, I am swapping the all three hard disks from one server to another server. What will happen to my data?
Is RAID controller will erase the data because of size difference or It will re-configure it automatically?

Re: Swapping RAID5 HDD to another HP server with same hardware configuration
Hi,
The RAID configuration is stored on the hard drives, so they should be transportable between your two machines.
Cheers,
Rob
