System Recovery (OS & Data)
Hello everyone, i have a problem with a ProLiant DL585 G6 which i set up 9 years ago running on Windows Server 2008 R2, with Raid 1, O and 5 on the 8, 500Gig drives that came with it. About a year ago we started running out of space and since we had 1.2Gig drives available i therefore requested that a colleague increases the size on Raid 1 by replacing one of the 500Gig drives with the bigger 1.2 TB. I travelled out and did not follow up on what happened.
Two days ago i noticed that the server had run out of space and so i physically went to check. i found that the second drive on the Raid 1 had been replaced with a 1.2TB. what followed is that i pulled out the 500Gig while the server was running and this caused a blue screen and the server is no long booting.
How can i restore it without using data? i have booted with the Windows Server 2008 DVD to try and repair any error but its not giving me the drive to repair, attached is a screenshot. Will appreciate your help.
