System management log info Pro Liant ML350

I have a Ml350 Pro Liant with Server 2003 r2 Service Pack 1, that is crashing.

I am getting a few Blue Screen Trap (BugCheck, STOP: 0x00000077 (0xC000000E, 0xC000000E,0x00000000, 0x00445000) and a couple other ones

I also saw a couple ASR detected by System ROM

I also ran HP Insight Diagnostics and everything passed but when I looked int he logs I noticed a failed Network Adapter Link Down - Slot: 1 Chassis Type Main system or external slots - Chasis ID 0 Port 0. I know they are only using 1 ethernet port on the server so I am going to make sure there is no blancing or anything like that turned on.

I am going to upgrade to service pack 2 now just figured I would pu this out there to see if I can get any other ideas.

Thanks,
Eric

Re: System management log info Pro Liant ML350

The cause of the BSOD i.e. 0xC000000E which says STATUS_NO_SUCH_DEVICE: the drive went unavailable, possibly a bad hard drive, disk array, and/or controller card

I would run offline Insight diagnostics on the box and would do firmware upgrade if needed especially of hard drive and controller using firmware maintenance cd.

Where can i run the offline test at? I was able to run the array Diagnostics Report. I attached the zipped file.

Re: System management log info Pro Liant ML350

I have System management v2.1.10.186 and will check to see if I can download a newer version.

It did just crash on me again and I jgot a
Windows _Delayed Write Failed
Windows was unable to save all the data for the file C:\Windows\system32\config\SysEvent.evt The data has been lost. This error may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware or network connection. Please try to save this file elsewhere.

I saw on bootup it said controller error. ALl of my drives lights are good so I might need to orded a controller card.

I will see if I can download the newer System management FirmWare fist. I did already install service pack 2.

Thanks for the help..

Re: System management log info Pro Liant ML350

ok eric i checked the adu report and logs

relevant data

level due to a low power caps

\1792-Drive Array Reports Valid Data Found in Array Accelerator

in adu below

optional controller installed
SLOT 5 Smart Array E200 Controller ERROR REPORT: No problems detected
it has
Total Memory Size: 128 MBytes
Battery Count: 1
Controller Firmware Rev: 1.66
HPD0... model DF036A9843

e200 i has no battery and 32 meg cache standard as it is a standard onboard controller

my advice upgrade the on board controller

with HP Smart Array E200i/128 BBWC Controller
more cache and battery

i do not know the generation of your server

but the controller firmware you are using is
flimsy you should be on around 1.84 firmware

from aug 2009
sofirst remove cache battery replace it and reseat cache on the e200

if issues a firmware update is long due all round , then drivers

enjoy :)
