We have an older server and after flashing system bios we dont see no os. There is a white cursor flashing on the top left hand corner.
Please help.

If you have an older model of Smart Array controller which I assume you do then you can download the firmware from the following link:
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/14694.html
Depending upon as to what type the controller is you may need to make just one diskette since this softpaq requires four formatted floppies.

In that case you need to create the first diskette only from the link I sent to you. Cold boot the system with the first diskette and follow the onscreen instructions.
Please let me know as to how do you make out.

Thanks for your help. Everything is up and running here. Just one little problem though. When the system posts we are a strange message regarding the firmware of HDDs. Is it so that we have to update those HDDs??

This softpaq requires 10 diskettes. Just make the first one and cold boot the system with the diskette. Then it will let you know as to which other diskettes are required. You can go ahead and create all the diskettes if you would like but it would not be necessary.
