System status LEDs

On my Proliant ML350 G2, the Internal Health light is amber. The description for this is: System degraded; system on or off with auxiliary power. Just what does that mean? Is an internal power supply going bad? What do I do?

Re: System status LEDs

You can open the cover and check staus of the LEDs in the system board. These will give more descriptive error information. (eg. thermal error) Also, you can check IML log in the server for any errors.

You can dowload Maintenance and Service Guide from following link.

Page 4-11 and 4-12 gives the description of System board LEDs.

Re: System status LEDs

Hi

You would want to schedule a down time and run diagnostics on the server to make sure you dont have any hardware issues and it is also advisable to upgrade the firmware and stay latest.
