System 'suspend' mode after power fail

We have a number of 1850r servers minimally configured as firewalls. On all of them, after loosing power and having it restored, it enters 'suspend' mode (orange power LED, system 'off') instead of powering back up. I understand this is due to the electronic nature of the power switch, instead of a physical switch that is 'on'. I have reviewed the manuals and attempted to search the compaq support web sight for a way to get them to power on upon power restoration, and have looked through the system bios for any relavent settings without any luck. This seems like it should be a pretty simple thing to configure, once one knows where. Your assistance will be very appreciated.
