After about 10 days, TCP/IP no more respond on my ML370 with Netware SP5 (with latest TCP/IP patches) and the latest n100.lan

In the same time, IPX works fine.

No respons on the Novell's forums

Can you give more details about your problem?

Did TCP/IP work correctly for 10 days and then stop with no changes to configuration?

Is TCP still loaded? Does any other device still PING this server since? Or other direction?

Have the cables to the NIC been checked and/or swapped?

Re: TCP/IP no more respond on ML370 Netware 6

TCP/IP works for ~10 days.
After that, TCP/IP still loaded on the server, no more ip trafic (no ping, etc.) is possible.

No changes in the Network and an other Netware server works fine in the same subnet.

In fact, if I try to ping the server from a PC on the same IP subnet, my arp table stay empty: no trace of the server's MAC
If I add the server's MAC on the arp table, the ping is successful.

The only way to solve the problem at this moment is to restart the ...server.

Re: TCP/IP no more respond on ML370 Netware 6

So, if you ping the server name from the pc it fails, if you ping the server IP Address from the pc it fails, but if you ping the MAC address it succeeds!?

Can you run ping from the server console and successfully ping the workstation?

Can the server ping itself from its console?

Is this server plugged into a particular switch or router port?
Can you plug the server into a different port and retry your tests?

Re: TCP/IP no more respond on ML370 Netware 6

After 10 days:
- The ping from the PC fails.
- The ping from the console of the server fails.
- If I try to ping the server itself, it fails.
- If I add the server's MAC address on the arp table of the PC, the ping works from the PC: maybe the server no more respond to arp request ?

I've already move the server to an other switch, without success.
