TFT7600 with DL380G5 server and Windows 2003
I am building a rack with a bunch of DL380G5 servers, all running Windows 2003SP2 and connecting to a HP TFT7600 keyboard/monitor tray.
I am having problems getting the 1440x900 resolution to work as it is not available on the display properties screen.
I am using the latest drivers for the ATI video card which I downloaded today. This still doesn't give me the 1440x900 resolution option.
Is there a monitor or other video driver that will let me use the TFT7600 in its native resolution and not the fuzzy 1024x760 that I'm having to use at the moment.
Witek.

Re: TFT7600 with DL380G5 server and Windows 2003
Are you going through a KVM switch of some form...?
That may well be imposing the limitation on resolution.
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Rob

Re: TFT7600 with DL380G5 server and Windows 2003
As far as I am aware there isn't a driver available yet to provide this resolution for the HP Proliant servers and the ATI RAGE XL chipset with 8Mb memory. HP don't provide video drivers for MS Server 2003, they are the ATI/MS approved ones.
Many people have bought the TFT7600 and been disappointed about having to use 1024 X 768 or 1280 X 1024 resolutions.
Regards,
Brian

Re: TFT7600 with DL380G5 server and Windows 2003
The TFT7600 is connected to a HP AF600A KVM switch.
All this gear is brand new and latest spec so I'm very surprised that a slide out keyboard and monitor tray designed to work with KVM switches and connect to HP servers cannot work in it's native resolution.
When I look at the video card properties after installing the latest HP drivers, 32MB is listed as the amount of memory the video subsystem has. The model of the chipset is E1000 from memory.
Cheers

Re: TFT7600 with DL380G5 server and Windows 2003
Bad News - you can't solve that Problem. It is not a Drive issue. The Problem is hardware related. HP itself says that this Device is not compatible with DL380, 385,...
