TL892 mini library attached to Proliant DL380
Windows NT server 4.0 SP6a Arcserve 6.61

Ever since this was installed Now and again I get the error CP32FS1 in event log error the driver detected a controller error on device\scsi port1 and then the server needs to be rebooted. Sometimeafter the reboot Arcserve can take up to 6 hours to update.

Has anyone got any ideas?

Use HP library & Tape tools to check for faults. you can update firmware with the same software

this may be a hardware problem: SCSI-controller, cable, terminator, DLT-drive... hard to find.

If possible change hardware step by step to see if anything changes. Or maybe you can attach the TL891 to another server and install the drivers to see what is happening then?
