I have another DL580 setup the same way but the switching rarely happens. Does the freqency of the switching on this server reveal a problem with one of the NIC's?

Re: Teaming - Primary Nic Switches

I am experiencing the same issue. I have replaced the NIC, with the same model and it is still switching. We have other DL580's also, there seems to be no problem with them.

Maybe this is a BIOS or ROM issue. Also, I need to make sure we have the latest driver for the NIC installed.

Chris

p.s. let me know if you find out anything

Re: Teaming - Primary Nic Switches

I also have a RIB installed in the server that is having the problem. The other servers do not have RIB's installed. Also, I'm not able to access the RIB either via a browser or through CIM.

Re: Teaming - Primary Nic Switches

If you are hooked into a Cisco network....look at spanning tree. I am currently suffering the same problem and that is the direction that I am working.

Re: Teaming - Primary Nic Switches

Make certain your using the latest NIC drivers . If running 100Mbs FD , try manually setting the NICs to run at that speed , change from Auto-Negotiation on the NIC and HUB/Switch .
