Temperature error on ML350

Hello,
We have seen temperature problems on ML350 with two processors. Even though there's no documentation that recomends it, when installing the cooling kit it disappears. The problem is that there are other servers the same model and charateristics working fine without the extra fan kit.
Perhaps somone can tell me something about it.
Thanks,
Alex

Re: Temperature error on ML350

Hi,

which generation are we talking about?
Any error messages ?
Any change in fan speed or loud noise through fans.

Re: Temperature error on ML350

Another thing to consider is location i.e. proximity to cooling, servers above or below.

Also, look at CPU/memory/drive utilization.

Also consider upgrade BIOS and firmware.
I had seen some cases like this with a problem in the sensor temp in motherboard. When we replace the system board the problem was gone.

Re: Temperature error on ML350

Make certain not to run the server with the cover open. Also, every empty hard drive slot should have a hard drive slot cover. Beyond that, you can use the System Management Homepage at http://ipaddress:2301 to check the environmental status for each thermal zone and see which part of the server is overheating.

Beyond that, I could just call hp Technical Support.
