Temperature error on ML350

It is a ML350 G4. After a while the fan increases its speed and after that a message appears saying the machine will power off. A red light on the panel appears and the light on the mother board that indicates a problem with temperature turns on.
We left the server with just one processor and is working fine.
The room where the server is, is a cold place. There there is another server the same kind and configuration and is working fine. It also has two processors. We havent made the firmware actualization.
What we did is to ask for the cooling kit but the thing is that there is another server identical than the one we are talking about and is working fine.

Re: Temperature error on ML350

Hi,

It seems to be internal health led of the server which is amber. check with the led status of the server mb board and check with the server label provided with server cover. then confirm suspecting there is part failure on server or health driver for the server is not working which manage the fan speed for cooling.

seems to be a Thermal trip detected for processor and leds to this.

Re: Temperature error on ML350

Check surface between cpu fan and processor, make sure there is thermal paste and a solid contact is made. If not, this can cause mb's to overheat as well.

Re: Temperature error on ML350

Alexander,

Please log a call with HP and request that both Heatsink/Fan Assemblies be replaced under warranty.

The HP Spare part number is 366866-001.

This should cure the problem.
