The event information received from array controller was of an unknown or unrecognized class.

Hi,

Today I saw an warning message in windows 2003 log:

ID: 24607

Source: Cissesrv

The event information received from array controller P410 located in server slot 4 was of an unknown or unrecognized class.
An excerpt of the controller message is as follows: Surface Analysis Pass Information, LDrv=0 Number of passes=26.

What does it means?

Several weeks ago, failed hard drive in the array has been replaced by the same one. HP Proliant Server ml-150-g6, RAID 1.

Thanks.

Hi,

Check these two articles:

For Windows Server 2003:
HP hardware released after July 17, 2010 no longer receives certification from Microsoft; therefore, HP does not officially support Windows Server 2003 on any server or option hardware beyond this date.

The Event ID 24607 messages do not affect the operation or functionality of the server or the Smart Array controller. The warning message is informational and can be safely ignored.

Thank You!
I am a HP employee
