Time flies with Windows 2000 on ML 330 G2

We've got a problem with a Proliant ML330 second generation server (configuration code: JVR2) with Windows 2000 Server edition OS installed and SP2. The problem is that time seems to fly by. For any normal second, this server counts about 5 seconds. Also the cursor in any program seems to blink 5 times as fast and double clicking your mouse is only humanly possible when set to the slowest possible setting. Any help would be much most welcome.
