Troubleshooting SATA Hard Drive

I have a SERVER ML350 G4P, With 4 HDD SCSI in RAID mode, I have connected to install a SATA HDD. Windows don´t recognize the drive. I don´t see the BIOS option to configure the SATA HDD.

I would like to know how to set up the new hard disk.

Thanks.

Re: Troubleshooting SATA Hard Drive

Where did you plug in the drive? Are you adding it to the RAID array?

Re: Troubleshooting SATA Hard Drive

I Plugged the Driver to the mainboard sata port. It is controlled by the onbpoard RAID controller ? How do I add this SATA to my system?

Thanks for the reply.

Re: Troubleshooting SATA Hard Drive

I see other posts about the same issue. It looks like this motherboard doesn't allow the use of SATA when you are running a SCSI array.

Here's a related post:

Maybe someone else knows for sure.

Re: Troubleshooting SATA Hard Drive

SATA Controllers are not compatible with SCSI HDD only Serial ATA. Even though you should have the option in the BIOS Press for adaptec Raid configuration Utility or F8 depending on the BIOS. If you have an integrated SATA Controller and you don't have the option is becuase the controller is disable, Go to the BIOS and enable the Serial ATA Controller.
If it's not fun, you're not doing it right
