UPS and Proliant Auto Power ON
Hi all,
I have 2 HP R/T 3000 ups woth af401a management module, and 6 HP DL 380 G6 servers.
When I have a power outage the agent succesfully power down all servers, but when the power come back, no one of the servers come up, even if auto power on is enabled.
I know that auto power on in RBSU setting is needed when the power outage occour when the server is up, but if the server is powered off, it remains off after the electrical problem is solved.
Is it possible to send Wake on Lan packets through AF401A module or something similar? Or there is something else I am missing in the RBSU?
thank you so much
Gianluca

Re: UPS and Proliant Auto Power ON
There's a setting on the ILo. That will enable it to automatically power on, when the power is restored.
Log into the ILo GUI.
locate: automatically power on
Tick the check box.
Save / apply the setting.
I can't remember exactly where you will find the setting.
But it is there, and it's all it take.
