UPS recommendation for GL 380 G6
What are the recommended specs for a UPS for GL 380 G6 running Windows Server 2008 SBS.?

Hi SM2010,
I am assuming you mean DL380 G6 Server.
Below are the recomended UPS
HP R1500 G2, HP R/T3000 and HP Rack-Mountable R5500

Hey, yeah if it's only one server at the moment one of those should be enough.
If you would suspect getting a larger environment soon, maybe you would want to go for bigger HP UPS already. Like the R6000/8000/12000 They are 3-phase though.
But, I believe what the author of the post asked what is the recommended specs for a UPS.
Now, what do you mean with specs?
How long it can keep the server on if power goes out? That is quite up to you - and depends on how much power the server uses (amount of disks, which kind of PSU etc).
A lot of times people have enough battery power for the server to shut down safely or for the diesel power to kick in.
If you want the server to shut down safely, make sure you get a UPS that supports you installing agents on the server, so the UPS can tell the server to shut down ;)
