ml570 - install win 2k. ups 3000va xr attached - builds fine but in deveice mange it shows powerware ups with yellow bomb. why?

That's normal ! Don't worry !!!
There is no driver ( and no *.inf file ) for the Compaq UPS - management is done with Compaq power agents . Power ware is the manufacturer .
You can try installing a generic driver to have " a clean device manager "

Victor - thanks for reply. This was ok on ml570 and we have just left it there with no problem. However we are now testing ml370 with t1000 xr ups, again all works fine but yellow bomb appears in device manager on other device but each time we reboot server new hardware found kicks in for powerware ups and of course there is no w2k driver. Any thoughts? regards stuart

Same reason ... no *.inf file for W2K
Don't worry . This is normal behaviour
Maybe try desactivating the device in device managerso it won't be re-detected
