USB connector on ProLiant DL380

Could I add a USB connector to a ProLiant DL380? The OS is windows 2000 Advanced Server. I have three slots free.

Re: USB connector on ProLiant DL380

A PCI adapter? Is this the original DL380 or is this a G2 or G3 server. The G2 and G3 servers both have USB connectors embedded on the system board. There are no HP supported PCI USB adapters for these machines, but they should work fine.

Re: USB connector on ProLiant DL380

It is an 'original' DL380 and I would like add an USB connector like in the G2 or G3. Could I buy a USB connector for DL380 G2 (or G3) and then add it on my DL380?

You can add it as a PCI adapter, like I said previously.

Re: USB connector on ProLiant DL380

True. There is no PCI USB adapter supported by HP for use in this server. This doesn't mean other manufacturers adapters won't work.
