Ultra ATA/100 adapter not recognised
All,
Thankyou for your time in advance, but having problems installing new server using NT4.
Fresh server, and Initial setup appears, asking for system configuration for date/time/boot controller. The boot controller defaulted to the CSA 649 Ultra ATA/100 controller.
But after saving settings, rebooting using NT4.0 CD, it would ask for any additional disk drivers. If left at default of ATA/IDE, it would explain that the hard disk controller could not be found.
Tried then to download and install NT4.0 with extracted copy of CP000452.EXE. Still could not recognise harddrive and controller.
Would like advice for the correct driver to use. Hard disk installed is a Seagate ST320414A.
Regards
Bernard Dunn
