Ultra Dense Configurations

We want to put 42 of these in a 42U Rack.
Our infrastructure people are saying this configuration will overheat as there has to be a gap between each server - they recomend 1 bolt hole - to allow ventilation to the top vent on the server (the one over the Floppy Disk) obviosly this will not give us an ultra dense configuration.
There is conflicting information in the white papers on the subject, some discuss 42U configurations, others say the vent over the floppy drive must not be blocked.
I reckon the gap of 2-3 mm given by the rack mount kit should be adequate.
What is the definative answer???

Putting in 42- DL360 is supported. There is enough clearnace at the front for that vent.
