Unable to clear IML events

Unable to clear IML events

Hi guys,
I have a ML370G3 where I can't clear the events in the IML. When I try, it says that I do not have SNMP rights to clear the events. But my SNMP is set to Read&Create. I use the default SNMP string (Public). Do you have any ideas of how to resolve this? I have tried to fix the problem with an uninstall of HP agents, restart server and install the agents again, but it didn't solve the problem.
regards Brian

Re: Unable to clear IML events

1) Clear NVRAM via Smart Start

2) use the maintenance switch on the system board.

The system maintenance switch (SW1) is a six-position switch that is used for system configuration. The default setting for all six positions is off.

Turn Switch 6 to ON and boot, you can turn it off before the OS loads. Then Turn 6 OFF.

Off = No function is available.

On = ROM treats system configuration as invalid.

This will force the ROM to restore to defaults.

Brian,

SNMP sets is not the property of the SNMP service; you can find this setting in the control panel in the HP Management Agent applet. If SNMP sets is not enable here you will not be able to make any updates no the system management home page.
There’s your problem!!! This thing is set to EVIL!
