Unable to flash P600 v1.50
Hi, when I try and flash my P600 controller which is running in a DL360G4p, I receive this error:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Setup Session Beginning 23/07/2007 - 14:31:42
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Command Line Parameters Given:
Beginning Interactive Session...
Name: Online ROM Flash Component for Windows - Smart Array P600
New Version: 1.52
The software is installed but is not up to date.
Current Version:
Product ID 103C3225, Version 1.50: 1 found
ERROR - ROM Flash failed, rc=31
ERROR - ROM Flash failed, rc=31
Failed: Slot 2, Product ID 0x103C3225, Version 1.50: 31
The operation was not successful.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
End Session
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
This happens when trying the v1.52 and v1.88a firmware. I haven't tried it with the firmware maintenance CD yet as I don't have a window for downtime at the moment.
Does anyone have an idea why this is failing?
Carl

Re: Unable to flash P600 v1.50
well to tell you the truth even that the firmware can be applied online the server needs to be rebooted in order to get the new firmware up and running
so I recommend you schedule a downtime and apply the Firmware CD it's much better
regards just in case are installing this one (w2003)?
