Unable to install W2K on Proliant ML330 - 933 Mhz

W2k doesn't recognize the disks (2 * 9.1 Gb SCSI) after the SmartStart procedure:
After starts the windows 2000 installation, and press the "F6" and the "s" keys (as asked in the readme.txt of "HP ProLiant 32-Bit SCSI Controller Driver for Windows 2000/Windows Server 2003 "), I see only one choose "Compaq .... for Windows NT" where '...' are bad caracters? Afterward, Windows doesn't recognize the disks anymore !
What can I do ?

Hi Henneaux:

You did everything right! We can try 2 more things.

One:
- use NT4.0 driver
HP ProLiant 32-Bit SCSI Controller Driver for Windows NT 4.0 version 4.24.2.0 (12 Feb 03)http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/16527.html

Two:
Try Windows 2000 setup floppy not from CD.

If that controller is set as boot controller and drives has different scsi id's, driver is correct, and F6 pressed and driver provided and you were able to select the driver and continue with no prolems and you get no physical drives present. Usually that means; boot controller not set correctly, driver not right and or one bad drive etc.

Make sure that you are providing the right driver for where the drives are physically connected.

Best regards,

Hope this helps.

Tarek.
