Unable to see large disks DL320 G2

Hello,

I've got a HP Proliant DL320 G2 server with a Integrated Ultra ATA100 IDE raid controller. I replaced the original 80GB disks with 500GB and configured them in Raid1. The problem is that the raid controller only 130GB disks sees. Can somebody help me with this problem. I already updated the bios to the latest version.

Kind Regards,

W. Groen

Re: Unable to see large disks DL320 G2

This is a limitation of the ATA controller integrated on the server. The server supports only up to 160 GB disks, and with this note:

160-GB ATA 100 7,200 RPM Hard Drive (1")
NOTE: ATA controller will only recognize 137GB of a 160GB HDD.

Is it possible to fix the problem with another raid controller or isn't that a smart idea?

Re: Unable to see large disks DL320 G2

The problem is that there are no supported IDE controllers for the DL320 G2. You can of course try a 3rd party IDE controller.
