Unable to upgrade disk firmware on third controller on a DL380 G4

Hi

When booting a server i get the following warning about disk firmware (screenshot also attached):

But when i run the firmware upgrade disk (v9.00) it says everything is
fine. If i force it, it upgrades the disks on The first two controllers.

It looks like the upgrade utility can not see the 6400 controller in slot 2.

I spent most of the day trying to fix this but have gotten nowhere. Can
anyone give me a hint?

Hi Jens

the BD0726459C, was removed from FW CD 8.10.
And you must use FW CD 8.00 to upgrade this HDD.

I will try to find the other HDD.

After updating with both 7.40b & 8.00 i got all disks upgraded.

I realized the reason for the disks with very old firmware was due to a disk array that was moved from an old server that was unable to boot from cd-rom (and therefore it was not possible to upgrade) to a newer server.

As already mentioned the problem was resolved by using firmware cd v7.40b & v8.00.

So the HPB5, was removed on the 7.5 FW CD?

By the way. In case you don't know.
It is possible to add FW files on the CD.
If you find the files (Linux version is the best). Copy the files into the \HP\Swpackages folder.

Not really sure when it was removed. All my googling on BD0726459C did not yield any useful results, so i just downloaded the oldest cd image and tried it out, and it worked.

I had succes googling the BD FW to be removed in 8.10, but no luck with the BF.
