Uncorrectable memory error & online spare

I have a ML370G2 with all 6 slots containing 512MB DIMMs. Online spare memory is turned on and shows as functioning. The server has ASR'd twice in the last two months with an Uncorrectable Memory Error in slot 4. The server comes back up fine. I've called support to have the DIMM replaced, however, shouldn't the system fail over to the online spare when this happens? Or is does it fail over only when a DIMM fails totally?

Once the module fails, system writes all the content from failed module to spare module.

But make sure you have the latest Rom revision, that the health driver is loaded and of course that the online spare is enabled ! ( at post, you should have a message like "2048MB and 1024MB reserved for online spare " )
