Uninstalling a Proliant Support Pack

Does anyone know if it is possible to uninstall a Proliant Support Pack. My goal is to revert back to a prior version of an HP driver.

Thanks in advance....

Re: Uninstalling a Proliant Support Pack

You don't have to uninstall a whole Support Pack to downgrade a driver. Run setup in the PSP directory. Delete the components you don't want to install from the right pane, then click install. On the next screen, select "Allow components to overwrite newer or up-to-date versions".

Let me know how you make out.

Is there any issue with new install or just research?

Re: Uninstalling a Proliant Support Pack

KOV - The reason that I want to do this is that I have to have a blackout plan documented before I release PSP 7.4 into production.

Ken/Ed - I read in the PSP 7.4 user guide that you can re-run the older PSP like you guys suggested or use the /force switch in a silent install. However, the PSP 7.4 user guide states

"However, some components do not support downgrading and might require that the current version be uninstalled before installing a previous version."

This is my dilemma. Do you guys know what components will not support the downgrade or any work arounds?

Thanks for your responses guysâ ¦..
