Unrecognizable devices

I have a DL380 G5 machine installed with Windows 2000 server.

After installing all the necessary drivers using HP SmartStart ver. 7.40, (I'm using 7.40 version because the HP SmartStart CD ver. 8.10 bundled with the machine does not support Windows 2000 server installation via HP SmartStart.) I've noticed that there are two unrecognizable devices.

After checking the device manager, I found out that these devices are the server's
processors. By the way, this server has a E5420 Quad-Core Intel Xeon Processor.

Could you please let me know where can I
download the right driver for these devices.

Thanks.

Re: Unrecognizable devices

thanks for the reply.

Due to application compatibility issue that why we used 2000 instead of 2003.

Any idea on how to solve this problem?

Thanks

Re: Unrecognizable devices

you can look up the device name in the device manager.

Control Panel > System (icon) > hardware (tab) > Device Manager

If there is a yellow mark right click it, select Properties, Details tab...

You Will find a string like this one:

PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0007&SUBSYS
