Unstable Array Controller P410

Hi,
I've just installed a RAID 1+0 on an ML150 G6 server,
but the raid is very unstable.
Every time the server is booted, the initialize process takes a long time and then an error appears.
It says that a disk is faulty. If I reseat the disk, the raid rebuilds everyting ok until next boot.
Any idea on what may be wrong ??

Perhaps the disk is faulty and you should get it replaced.
Have you checked that you are running the latest SA410 firmware?

The disks are almost new.

I haven't updated the firmware yet.
I'm using the original that came with the server.
I'll try that tomorrow.
Thanks.

Re: Unstable Array Controller P410

There are drive firmware updates that resolve problems similar to the problem your seeing. For instance.......here is the fix for one of the drive models:

Prevent possible drive not present after ├в Reset├в
The truth is out there, but I forgot the URL..

Hi,

if initializing has a long time to completed on POST MODE the fault related to your Cache Module.
change your cache if firmware update doesn't work.
