Update power supply firmware on ESXi servers

Hi,

I've an issue with the firmware of a power supply in a DL380 Gen 10 server with ESXi 6.7 installed. The firmware packages are only available for Windows and Linux.

Anyone knows how to upgrade the power supply firmware on an ESXi server?

Regards

Re: Update power supply firmware on ESXi servers

Since the link for esxi is not available there is a workaround you can perform. Create a custom SPP and include the component from either redhat or windows. Once created run the custom SPP on the server in offline mode since in offline mode OS will nto matter and then you can proceed to either automatic or interactively only update the PSU component.

@BunsolHave you ever performed the PS's firmware update on ESXi?

Offline mode means boot from this SPP, either virtual media or USB.

Hope this helps!
