Updatinf firmware on St19171W disks

I am having trouble updating the firmware on some old 9gb Ultra Wide SCSI disks; model ST19171W. I downloaded firmware 9A10 but am unable to flash the disks when using an options rompaq; when I put the floppy disk in it says the disks are not detectable.

Create first diskette and it will tell you next one or see txt file for models

That particular link is for array controllers and not hard disks. The problem I have is with two old ST19171W 9gb hard disks that always show an error on boot up.

then it should be working. You need disk 4 & 9.
The controller has the latest firmware? It can be a problem if not.

Thanks for the updates, unfortunately it doesn't list the drive I'm having trouble with ST19171W. I have found options rompaq 2.42 and will attempt to use this to upgrade the firmware when I get downtime.
