Pretty sure it does not show firmware versions, but the individual packages will also show current levels and whats available in the package. This is good for firmware updates as it tells you if the file you are running is older, the same or newer then what is there... and allows you to run it in any case.

You could use the HP Firmware Maintenance CD.
You can see what firmware is currently running on the machine and and what updates are available and gives you the chance of updating the updates that are necessary.
Links for software and drivers components are also available.

Some firmware is installable from the running OS, but the same can be installed offline while booting from the CD.
If you boot from the CD, the update utility will find all matching files for your hardware at once (e.g. disk, BIOS, etc.)
