Updating HP NC382i DP Multifunction Gigabit Server Adapter drivers
I have an ML360 G7 server running Windows Server 2008 R2 with 2HP NC382i DP Multifunction Gigabit Server Adapter Interfaces managed as a Team by HP Network Confnguration Utility.
If I try to change the setting of the team I get a message saying that the miniport driver(s) are not compatible with the HP Network Utility software installed.
The message says that the minimum required version is 7.8.19.0.
I can download the HP Broadcom 1Gb Multifunction Drivers for Windows Server x64 Editions version 7.8.50.0 (E).
Is it enough to install such driver or should I download and install any other component, i.e HP Network Configuration Utility for Windows Server 2008 R2 10.90.0.0 (B)?
Given it is a production server should I plan any reboot?
Is there anything erlse I should consider?
Regards
m.n.

Re: Updating HP NC382i DP Multifunction Gigabit Server Adapter drivers
Always use the latest driver along with the latest version of the network config utility. There have been problems over the years where not using the latest of one or the other will cause problems. At worst your team won't work at all and at best it will keep working, you just won't be able to change any of the configuration.
