Upgrade Hp ProLiant DL360 G6

Hi everyone,

I need some help in upgrading a HP ProLiant DL360 G6 server.

Current situation - I have one CPU (Intel Xeon E5520) and 14 GB RAM (2 x 4G 2Rx4 PC3-10600R-9-10-J0 and 3 x 2G 2Rx8 PC3-10600R-9-10-B0).

I purchased a 2nd CPU Intel Xeon E5520 and 5 x KTH-PL313S/4G.

After I installed the new CPU and the extra RAM I started the server, but it pull of a long beep and a red led is flickering on the front panel.

I removed the 2nd CPU and the new RAM, but when I start again the server i have the same issue (long beep and a red led is flickering).

Can you please help me? I really need to sort this out until Monday morning.

hi,

Please do not mix Kingston and HP dimms. There is an incompatibility issue in the most cases.
