Hello,
I intend to upgrade my hardware from the p410i to the P812. From what I understand, it's simply just moving the SAS cable over to the card, but I want to confirm. Is there a guide that someone has to walk through this? I want to take the least amount of time possible doing this (meaning, I don't want to restore from a backup, if I don't have to).
Thanks!

SolutionYou can just move the cable to the new controller. The RAID information is stored on each disk. The only caveat is to make sure the firmware on the P812 is the same or newer than what was on the P410i
Standard discalimer: Make sure you have a good data backup just in case.

Re: Upgrade ML350 G6 from P410i to P812 w/o data loss/array loss?
I of course figured, but wanted to check with people who may have done this as this is my first time.
Thanks!
