Upgrade to W2K AS

The white paper "Upgrading to MS W2k on Compaq x86 Servers" states that an upgrade from NTServer to W2K Advanced server is not possible. Is this a Compaq issue? I have successfully made this transition on other hardware platforms, without the warned result of a dual boot system that transfers no users or groups. I will be upgrading 3000's, 1600's and a 1200. Any clarification of this statement (page 3) greatly appreciated.
thanks

Re: Upgrade to W2K AS

that white paper refers to 386 an 486 systems ...in that instance no it is not possible because the upgade will check hardware compatibility and determine that you do not have the resources for the upgrade..if your systems are pentium with at least 128 mb ram then there should not be an issue
