Upgrading P400 firmware on DL185 G5

Hi All,
I'm have a DL185 G5, I have updated various firmwares on this with success (backplane / system rom, etc)

I am now trying to update the P400 raid controller from version 5.20 to 5.26, I have so far;
downloaded the .scexe file,
downloaded the latest smartstart and firmware update CDs,
created a bootable USB device and copied the .scexe file to the right folder

However when booting i get the error that "The firmware maintainence CD does not support deployment for this server"

Anyone know how I can update the Firmware?

You can use the Online Flash component for SA P400 FW version 5.26, there are versions for Windows and Linux. Just make sure any application using the storage is not running and as best practice back up the data before the update.

Ahh Hi Johnathon, I should have added (sorry) that it is not running windows, but it is running HP SANiQ software.

This is a Linux derivitive I think but there is no console access, so am unsure how to run the linux file :(

Well, that adds a twist, I know lefthand Software is Linux based and there should be a way to run the command line underneath, however, I would recommend you to contact Lefthand support for assistance, and confirm the new FW is supported on the NSM and if there are any additional steps to update the controller FW.

Ran into the same problem.
Use the same procedure, but Firmware Maintenance CD version 8.40. It supports DL185 G5. (Inject your needed .scexe files)

Ahhh many thanks! :) Have downloaded this and kept it. After chatting with the lefthand guys, they said version 5.26 was not recommended.
