Upgrading a 380G2 to a 380G4

I need to upgrade an existing 380G2 to a 380G4.

If I were going from a 380G2 to a 380G3, since they both use the 5i controller, I can simply move the hard drives and re-run the Support Pack.

However with the G4 using the 6i controller, it does not work that way.
Does anyone have a "work around". Reloading is not an option, it does not have to be officially supported.

Thanks

Chris:

Apply the attached registry entry (61.reg) to your G2 system and move the drives.

Rememver to have the PSP local or on CD as you will not have network access until after you update the drivers.
