Upgrading from Dual PII to Dual PIII

OK. I know there are alot of posts in here for upgrades from a single processor to dual.

I want to upgrade from Dual PII300 to Dual PIII 600. I know i can do the hardware OK.... what do I need to do to get NT to recongise it ?

Answers on a postcard please.

major upgrade, upgrading a proliant 3000 266,300,333MHz model with a 400MHz or faster processor requires more than just a new processor, the new models have a different system board and require registered SDRAM instead of buffered EDO. such an upgrade requires an a new system board, a new processor and new memory modules, cost is a major factor here. if the server is going to be running memory intensive apps, try just upgrading to dual 333MHz this will support 3Gb.
