Use DL360 to host multiple web app

Could folks share some knowledge and experience in using the DL360 server to do virtue hosting of multiple web applications?

Like to hear some comments on feasibilities, performance, speed issue, memory usage, operating system choosing, etc. By the way, does the Linux come with the GUI interface?

Many thanks.

Re: Use DL360 to host multiple web app

Scott:

Linux usually has Xwindows which is similar to Windows. It is a graphical user interface to the OS and applications stored on the server.

Xwindows is included with all current RedHat distributions. Probably SuSe as well, but I am not familiar with it.

Sorry... Xwindows is the infrastructure. You would need to select a "desktop environment" to use to get full GUI.

RedHat comes with KDE and GNOME environments.

So the answer is still yes, Linux somes wuth a GUI interface.
