Using ML110 Lights-Out on a dynamic IP address ?

I have an ML110 G2 with the ILO Lights-Out module fitted.

In a previous location I had a fixed IP address for the Lights-Out module.

Now I only have a dynamic IP address supplied by my ISP.

Anyone have any suggestions about how to operate the Lights-Out module with a dynamic IP address ?

Is there an HP or 3rd party service that enables control of such a device on a dynamic IP address ?

Thanks,

.

Hi,

Check out the "HP ProLiant ML110 Generation 2 Lights-Out 100 Remote Management Processor User Guide" Page 8 for configuration.

Also check this support doc if u have a Win 2003 DHCP server.

Re: Using ML110 Lights-Out on a dynamic IP address ?

Thank you for the pointers.

I need to remote control and re-boot from a totally remote location, rather than on the local LAN.

However, in conjunction with your suggestion and using www.logmein.com for remote control I think I can solve the problem
