Using SmartStart text-mode Drivers produces PSP webpage on Startup

Hi All,

I'm using the HP SmartStart textmode drivers in my unattended Windows 2003 installation.

After Windows Setup and on the first boot it automatically loads c:\Program Files\HP\SmartStart\defualt.htm, which hides all my scripted message boxes.

Now i got rid of this in my last version, but I recently replaced the drivers with the latest version and I stupidly didn't write down how I removed it last time and I can't remember.

I think it involved removing some text from testsetup.oem or an .inf file but I can't see anything obvious.

Anyone give me a clue?

There's a registry key added to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnceEx\zzzzzzzz. In there you should see a value of "C:\Program Files\HP\SmartStart\startIE.bat"

As part of your unattended install, add a command to delete this key before logging in for the first time and the PSP Setup page should no longer appear.
