Using integrated controller in dos

I am trying to create a dos boot disk that will boot my 380 into dos and be able to recognize my 5300 controller, and the integrated controller, which I have only an external DLT 4000 tape drive connected. I can see the 5300 controller, and array that is on it. I can not see the integrated controller, or more importantly the tape drive. I have downloaded what I think is compaqs dos driver for the integrated controller, and added this to my config.sys file, but have not been able to see the tape drive. The driver I am using is fs2_aspi.sys.
Anyone have any sugestions?
Thanks

Re: Using integrated controller in dos

there is no dos support for the 5300...no drivers exist for this...if you can get a generic scsi driver you should be able to access the tape unit but there are no dos drivers for the unit if its compaq..if other company see their site to see if there are drivers
