VMware VSAN and Proliant DL380 Gen9 Server

Hello,

 

We want to use VMware VSAN feature on a proliant DL380 Gen9 server but I can't find a supported adapter in the compatibility list from VMware.

Are the new Smart Array Host Adapters for the Proliant Gen9 servers support for VSAN?

Hi.

 

No the Gen9 smart array adapters are not supported yet.  We are also waiting for the support and HP say that they are still testing the controllers. Probably the support will come during Q1 2015.
