Version Control Agent
Now VCA checks my system (ML 350 G3 - Windows 2003) and finds old versions for:
HP ProLiant CSB-6 ATA-100 IDE RAID Driver for Windows 2000/Windows Server 2003 (no this hw)
HP ProLiant 64-Bit/133-MHz Single/Dual Channel Ultra320 SCSI HBA and SCxxXe series SCSI HBA Driver for Windows Server 2003 (no this hw).
When I try to install the newer versions, setup tell me that those drivers are unsupported from my system...
There is a workaround?
Many thanks

Re: Version Control Agent
I think this can help you
Advisory: Version Control Agent (VCA) May Incorrectly Report Inactive or Obsolete Software and Drivers That Are Not Actually Installed on ProLiant Servers, Causing Overall Status of VCA to Display as Yellow (Degraded)

Re: Version Control Agent
the errors in the support document are the same.
VCA in the document is 2.1.8.780, on my server instead 2.1.9.790.
The 2 workaround in the document are not good for me: I don't want install SNMP!
When a new version?
Thanks

Re: Version Control Agent
did you already tried at least this to see if that solved the issue without configure the SNMP?
"
Delete the built- in discovery module to automatically cause VCA to fall back to software inventory based on the foundation agent. If VCA is installed on the C drive, delete the "C:\hp\hpsmh\data\cgi-bin\vcagent\Discovery" folder and restart HP VCA service from Windows Service Manager."
mm new version I really dont but HP is always working on that
or what if you try version 2.1.7.770?

Re: Version Control Agent
I've created a "Custom Software Baseline" with only the right components (based on VCA but without the errors).
Now VCA is green and controls only the right components.
VCA discovers other drivers:
HPCISSs.SYS (smart array controller x64?)
5.11.0.32
LSICSB6.SYS (LSI IDE driver?)
SYMMPI.SYS (LSI miniport driver?)
but without the wrong sw components, doesn't find errors/degradated.
