Video card in HP DL140
The onboard video card does not provide the performance needed, so we bought some Geforce MX4000 PCI video cards.
With the new video card the server boots, but the screen hangs just before loading Windows. The strange thing is that the server does load windows normally. (but you can't see this).
PCI-X slots should be backwards compatible right? (pci card in pci-x slot).
I already tried changing the bios settings, but without any results. Also loading the drivers in Windows didn't solve the problem..
Any suggestions?

Re: Video card in HP DL140
But thanks for awnsering the question.
Is there a website that shows which hardware is compatible?

Re: Video card in HP DL140
So it is impossible to use another videocard?
That can't be right... Even servers should be able to do this.
