Video card not detected
Hello.
I installed the RX 580 graphics card on the ProLiant DL560 gen8 server in a pci-e riser. But the video card is not detected in Windows Server 2016. Also connected power cable 10pin -> 8pin
Even coolers do not spin and do not jerk when the server starts
I heard that this server does not support all cards, maybe another BIOS firmware is needed?
Please advise what could be the problem?

Re: Video card not detected
Hi
Per HPE ProLiant DL560 Gen8 QuickSpec there is no HPE Graphic Options available for HPE ProLiant DL560 Gen8 server.
https://h20195.www2.hpe.com/v2/GetDocument.aspx?docname=c04123206
Even as per HP ProLiant DL560 Gen8 Server - Spare Parts and Option Parts list there is no HPE Graphic card available for this model.

However if still you want to use graphic card, you can try HPE supported Graphic card available for DL580 Gen8 server.
HPE ProLiant DL580 Gen8 QuickSpec.

Re: Video card not detected
AmRa, thanks for the answer.
Any options to run a non-HPE graphics card?
Another bios for motherboard?
Thanks

Re: Video card not detected
HPE always recommend to use HPE parts in HPE server. The Non-HPE components may not work on ProLiant Servers because the Server's BIOS, iLO Firmware may not detect a Non-HPE components or may not monitor the components status because Non-HPE component does not have HPE firmware.
