Video issues

I have aquired a proliant 5000 from work. We upgraded to ML370's. I am going to turn this machine into a game server therefore I need to upgrade the video card. My problem is this. I disabled the onboard video via the dipswitch, installed the new video card, powered up the server and it won't POST. If I enable the onboard video with the new card in, still no POST. As soon as I pull the new card out (Diamond Stealth II 220), everything is fine. I checked the video card in another machine and it works fine. Any suggestions?

Please make sure the BIOS is up to par and also try the card in any slot on the primary bus. l Slots 5 to 8.
